Our famous neighborhood party will carry on once again this year. North 45 St. Patrick’s Day is the party for all the neighborhood locals. This year we’ve extended our tent hours to midnight and the pub until 2am. We’ll also have live music by the Robbie Laws Trio starting around 6pm. As usual, we’ll have lot’s of great Irish food & drink specials and the occasional bagpiper. Party starts at 4pm. $5 cover. Portion of the proceeds benefits the OSU Foundation.

Round the World Whiskey Club

North 45 has decided to pair two wonderful things together to keep you warm this winter. Good, local beer and pork BBQ ribs. Every Thursday between New Years and St Paddy’s Day, North 45 will have a guest brewer on our heated, tented patio sampling their beer for patrons. $3 pints of the featured brewery’s beer will be on special, and we’ll be serving our North 45 BBQ ribs hot off our new Traeger grill. Come down and get Brew-Hogged at North 45 every Thursday from 6pm-9pm. Here’s the line up:

Robert Burns Super, Sunday, January 31st

Join us for our annual Robert Burns Super hosted by Stuart Ramsey. We’ll be closing down the pub on Sunday, January 31st @ 7pm to have a private super filled with the readings and poems of Robert Burns, bagpipes, whiskey and of course, haggis. Ticket includes a four course, traditional Burns Super, whiskey pairings, and all the entertainment of the evening. Please contact Josh to reserve your ticket and get more menu details. New Years Eve, Thursday, December 31st

Join the neighborhood party at North 45 on New Years Eve. Doors open at 4pm, but the party will really get going around 8pm. We’ll have live music starting at 9pm, a complementary champagne toast, and plenty of people to welcome into the new year with a kiss. North 45 will also be open New Years Day. Come in for a “New Year’s Resolution Cocktail.” It;s our special running all afternoon and evening on Friday. See you there!

Civil War – Thurs, 3rd December

(Sports Network) – The 18th-ranked Oregon Ducks have seemingly fallen apart, and they will try to get back on track against the Oregon State Beavers in the annual rivalry game known as the “Civil War”.Oregon State owns a 7-4 overall record heading into this regular-season finale, and the squad has a 5-3 mark against Pac-10 opposition.

The Beavers have played outstanding football in recent weeks, as they have won two straight games and five of their last six after a slow start.

North 45 will be hosting a Civil War party and showing the game live. Be sure to get your seat early and try out some of our Mussels and Belgium Beer!

Local Bartender gets National Recognition!

Leslie Bucher, bar manager at North 45 Pub, brought home the gold & $2,500 at Tales of the Cocktail 2009, in New Orleans, LA this month (July 9th-12th). Leslie qualified locally with her Provencal Cocktail. The Provencal is a mix of Lavender Vodka, rosemary infused simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and egg whites. Every state submitted one qualified bartender to the contest. Leslie made the cut to the final five contestants and then won the mixologist contest in front of a crowd of one thousand people in New Orleans. The Tales of the Cocktail event brings together the best and brightest of the cocktail community — award-winning mixologists, authors, bartenders, chefs, and designers — for a five-day celebration of the history and artistry of drink making. You can try out Leslie’s Provencal cocktail, along with her other creations at North 45 Pub.

North 45’s 3rd annual Oktoberfest is taking place Saturday, October 10th. Tented patio festival, doors open at 11am. Proceeds benefit the Forest Park Conservancy. This is a costume party with a contest for Best Dressed Bavarian Babe. This year’s event features live music by the Groove Minors, authentic German food specials and of course, lot’s of German beer. We have Paulaner beer steins that were shipped in from Munich for the event. Costume contest at 9pm. Grab your lederhosen and head on down! $5 cover.
