Leslie Bucher, bar manager at North 45 Pub, brought home the gold & $2,500 at Tales of the Cocktail 2009, in New Orleans, LA this month (July 9th-12th). Leslie qualified locally with her Provencal Cocktail. The Provencal is a mix of Lavender Vodka, rosemary infused simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and egg whites. Every state submitted one qualified bartender to the contest. Leslie made the cut to the final five contestants and then won the mixologist contest in front of a crowd of one thousand people in New Orleans. The Tales of the Cocktail event brings together the best and brightest of the cocktail community — award-winning mixologists, authors, bartenders, chefs, and designers — for a five-day celebration of the history and artistry of drink making. You can try out Leslie’s Provencal cocktail, along with her other creations at North 45 Pub.
